Tommy and Atticus @ Larchmont Village Wednesday Farmers Market Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the sprawling culinary landscape of Southern California, true artisan bread that honors traditional methods is a rare and highly sought-after commodity. Tommy and Atticus has cultivated a devoted following across the Los Angeles region by doing just one thing exceptionally well: creating authentic, naturally leavened sourdough bread and handcrafted pastries. This is not a typical brick-and-mortar storefront in Larchmont Village, but a popular, essential fixture of the Larchmont Village Wednesday Farmers Market. Their mission, established in 2017, is elegantly simple: to make bread using simple, whole ingredients, a wild sourdough starter, and a whole bunch of time—the way bread should be made.
California food enthusiasts, particularly those who appreciate the depth of flavor and texture that comes from a slow, three-day fermentation process, flock to this stand. The result is unparalleled sourdough loaves and flaky pastries that have established a reputation so strong that customers often report driving significant distances through infamous LA traffic just to secure their favorites. While the operation is designed for a quick and satisfying visit, the quality of their offerings places them firmly in the gourmet and artisan category. They seamlessly blend the rustic authenticity of traditional baking with the trendy, local-focused atmosphere of the Los Angeles farmers market scene, creating an experience that is both cozy and professional. It’s a bakery built on passion, where every loaf tells a story of dedicated craftsmanship.
Locals know that to get the best selection, an early arrival is key, as their most popular items—from signature loaves to buttery pastries—are known to sell out quickly. The aroma of fresh, crusty sourdough and morning buns wafting through the market is an irresistible draw, making the weekly appearance of the Tommy and Atticus stand a highly anticipated event for the surrounding Los Angeles communities. Beyond their renowned bread, the stand also offers savory and sweet options that reflect their commitment to quality ingredients, making them a one-stop shop for a delightful market breakfast or a week's supply of premium bread.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Absolutely incredible fresh baked breads and bagels. I get their bacon, egg and cheese bagel that is served until 10:30 and it is amazing. Usually very busy and has a line.
September 08 · Matthew ToddI would drive over 2 hours in LA in bumper to bumper traffic for this bread - and I have! Their bread and pastries are out of this world. My favorites are the jalapeno cheddar loaf (yummy chunks of cheese that melt in the toaster!!), the pumpkin croissant (incredibly flakey) and the brownie (melt in your mouth!)- but everything is good! You can’t go wrong!!
August 05 · Kelsey JacobyThis is seriously some of the best bread I have EVER had. Full stop. Garrett bakes with such passion and you can taste it! Don’t even get me started on the pastries. Literally can do no wrong!!
