★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Been here a bajillion times. Usually first in line, sometimes waaaay in the back. Still amazed how the quality and service has not changed in recent years.A long way from our hotel, love making the walk back (most of the trek is beautiful) with a big box. Almost 3000 reviews, obviously they do it right. I am obviously not objective in my review of b. patisserie because I love this place to the point I am blind with gluttonous excitement each visit.
September 15 · Kreative Cid⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended (1=Avoid, 3=Standard, 5=Can't Miss). San Francisco is home to many great bakeries, but B. Patisserie is a local and international staple. Peak hours should be avoided and parking can be a little bit of pain since you'll have to find street parking somewhere nearby. There is a good amount of seating, but can be challenging on a weekend. Their menu is vast, but I would stick with the laminated pastries and skip the tartines and desserts. The banana chocolate almond croissant is something I've only been able to find here and is one of their signature offerings.
July 26 · Mark Kwe got two of their cakes: sesame yuzu and the chocolate pistachio, along with the kougin aman and chocolate chip cookie.Their seasonal kougin aman is a must get!! Super flaky and perfectly buttery, it was definitely one of the best kougin amans I’ve had in the city. Their cakes were delicious as well since they weren’t overly sweet (I did prefer the sesame yuzu over the other one since it was a rare flavor profiling) but I think their pastries are worth trying more than their cakes in my opinion!
September 21 · Sarina IwaiWe got the chocolate chip cookie, a banana almond croissant, chocolate kouign-amann, and a peach scone. The kouign-amann was like a mini croissant with a melted chocolate topping. The banana almond was like crossing banana bread and a croissant, the best part was the crispy edges, they were like crispy chocolate chip cookie pieces. The chocolate chip cookie was like a Panera cookie. The scone was ok but plain and had very little peach flavor.
July 12 · Alex DeMartinoEverybody raves about the Kouign Amann, but honestly we loved the pain suisse! It was so delicious. The chocolate kouign amann was good too, but it has a more crystallized sugar coat and I prefer the softer croissant of the pain suisse. If you do get a kouign amann, I recommend just getting the plain one (the chocolate tasted like sugar alcohol)
