★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Actually I was only able to experience their excellent baked goods at The Clift Hotel where they hosted Best Croissant Competition in San Francisco. Forgive me but the pastries didn’t have actual names but oh-my-gosh were they sooooo good! I voted for them to have the best of everything but they came in on 2nd Place. Still not bad because the competition was really, really stiff! The 10 Best Bakeries in San Francisco brought their A-game and in my opinion they were 1st. Placers! I’ve been to Paris a few times and they could seriously easily rival any Boulangerie shop. The whole crew was super nice too! I will have to check their flagship in San Mateo soon.🥐😋👌🏼
June 08 · Albert VitalGot the plain croissant, modest, yet delicately satisfying. Great texture with a crisp, flaky exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. Most importantly, the quality has remained consistently good since my first visit back in 2020. The staff were also kind enough to heat it up in the oven. The only “complaint” might be that it could use a bit more of that rich, baked butter fragrance. Overall, a wonderful experience.
July 09 · Jin ZhangI lowkey think the mini chocolate croissant is the sleeper hit here. Pretzel croissant dough for a little extra chew and some salt to contrast and bring out the chocolate 🤌😚Also complies with my harm reduction diet, 12oz coffee cup for scale. The back patio is lovely as well.
August 14 · Roark⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️=Solid (1=Avoid, 3=Standard, 5=Can't Miss!). Is it the best croissant in the Bay area? Debatable, but it's dependable! I think the staple offering here are their loaves more so than the pastries. Avoid peak hours in the morning, but the lines aren't as long anymore so that's a relief. Parking is a bit challenging for the downtown San Mateo area in general. There isn't anywhere to sit so plan on grabbing your coffee and baked goods on the go.
July 26 · Mark KDid not take photo of the pastries, but I got chocolate crossaint, regular crossaint and little dude. The little dude was perfect for sipping with flat white. Loved it.There was a short wait of around 5-10min for getting order. No wait for a table. Walked in on a Saturday morning 10am.
