Bread Story Introduce
For residents of Plano and the surrounding North Texas suburbs, finding a high-quality, authentic bakery that delivers on both freshness and flavor is a priority. Bread Story has cemented its place in the 75023 community as a local favorite, providing baked goods that are described by patrons as "so yummy and fresh." This bakery stands out by focusing on a lighter, fluffier texture in its breads and cakes, setting it apart from denser, more traditional Western styles. It offers a delightful array of options, ranging from everyday baked loaves and sweet pastries to celebration-worthy cakes.
The shop has become well-known for its consistent quality, though some loyal customers note that the prices of certain signature items, such as the highly addictive Portuguese egg tarts, have increased over time. Despite slight price fluctuations, the deliciousness of these items is never questioned, with one review stating they are so "amazing" that they are eaten too quickly for a picture to be taken. This speaks volumes about the quality and immediate appeal of the baked goods.
Bread Story is also recognized for its specialty cakes. A customer who recently tried a cake for the first time reported being highly impressed, noting the cake, much like the bread, was "soft and fluffy" and filled with fruit. For those in Texas seeking fresh, high-quality, and reasonably priced baked goods (with one customer noting the overall prices are "cheaper than other bakeries!"), Bread Story remains a compelling and worthy destination. It’s a great choice for a Quick visit to satisfy a craving or pick up a dessert for a family gathering.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great place. It is so yummy and fresh. Moreover, the price is cheaper than other bakeries! I chose breads at random and they were all delicious. Moreover, I really liked the glutinous sticky rice with meat fillings. They take cash and cards. I believe card has a minimum of $5.00.
May 04 · Lillian L.They've changed their name but the baked goods are all the same.I love coming here to buy their Portuguese egg tarts. The egg tarts here are amazing and I always eat them too quickly before I can take a picture. Bad news is the egg tart prices keep going up and up and it's getting to the point where it's too expensive and not worth buying anymore (in my opinion), but it is delicious. My family and I aren't as big on the breads, but their breads are slow and fluffy and usually in the light side of flavor which I do like. But the portion size is on the smaller side.I recently ordered and bought a cake from them for the first time and they didn't disappoint. I got a regular vanilla fruit cake and it was SO GOOD. The cake was, like their breads, soft and fluffy. It was filled with fruit and decorations with fruit was free too. I will definitely come back in the future to order more cakes.
August 01 · kimlovespigs21I ordered a coffee fruit cake from the store at 12/13/19 10:30 am, there is no specified fruit style. Just want like the catalog photos, the store charged me $ 25 at that time. When I pickup it cake at 12/15 /19 12:30pm, The cake is no fresh fruit in surface and different from catalog photos. It is obvious that the shop is suspected of cutting corners and cheating on me.
December 15 · Tom TingGood pastries and service. They make fresh egg tarts on the weekends. I was running late and getting there close to closing one day, so naturally they didn’t have many egg tarts left. I was originally looking for a dozen but there was only 5 left. I told them I would take 5 and said I would be there in 20 minutes. I somehow got there in 10 and they asked if I could wait a couple minutes since they fired up the oven and started a fresh batch for me. I got fresh out of the oven egg tarts that were delicious! I was okay with what was left from the day but they decided to go the extra mile for me. Great service
May 24 · Curtis LeeLove their bread! Decent price as well! They always have so many fresh options! Would love to try their cake in the future. The store owner also really friendly.
