This is our go-to place for awesome bread! Our favorite is their chocolate babka loaf, truly yummy!Lines are sometimes long but it goes fast. The team over at Edina are friendly and awesome! Truly a good trip to taste some good bread.If you're a Starbucks fan, there's one right beside it. Get a treat at Breadsmith and then coffee at Starbucks next door. Perfect match!

I am partial to Breadsmith, having lived in Milwaukee and spent time constantly searching for bread in the Parisian manner until I found Breadsmith. In France, good bread is vital to any decent meal. After moving to Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago, I was surprised to see a Breadsmith in Edina. Yet, it seems Edina has everything except a lake, diversity and cheap prices. A line was moving fast, and I had my order ready in my head. Unfortunately, the staff at the Breadsmith in Edina did not speak English well, surprising for Edina. It was comforting, more like my hood near Lake Street, but sadly my order was screwed up, and when I arrived home 35 minutes later, several items were missing. Begrudgingly, I drove back to Edina and picked up my missing items. It took an extra hour at least. My three loaves of bread were great though, and it was cool Edina celebrated one aspect of diversity. An extra hour isn’t too bad. Breadsmith makes great bread.

I found this bakery by walking into a bank two doors down, and while inside the bank, I kept smelling this unbelievable cinnamon aroma. When I asked the teller where the smell was coming from he told me the bakery two doors down. Long story short; I finished up at the bank and walked directly to the bakery and was blown away by their display of sweet aromatic treats. I bought three of their large cinnamon rolls to go for an after dinner dessert. Let me tell you.. stopping at the bank was the best thing I did because after a long three year quest to find an actual local ‘real bakery’ was over and completely by happenstance. Words cannot describe how delicious the cinnamon rolls were, and I can’t wait to try the rest of what Breadsmith has to offer. I highly recommend this bakery.

This is my favorite bread store. And the smells probably increase your carb loading when you enter the store.After grabbing a large dark roast next door at Starbucks I went in and looked for something to nibble on and their small blueberry scone caught my eye. It was wonderful and went so well with my dark roast.However, later I went in and purchased a loaf of their whole wheat cinnamon raisin bread. I was very disappointed. It was just a heavy block of poorly risen whole wheat bread with some raisins and cinnamon added- what a disappointment.I have a loaf of Thomas Cinnamon Swirl bread that is great but not whole wheat. That is what a cinnamon raisin bread should look like. You can find the raisins in this loaf.I guess buyer be ware when you buy whole wheat bread.

Staff is superb, professional and friendly.Always offering a taste of freshly made batch. And yup, it works. Always buy more than my plan.The variety is amazing sweet and savory bread cookies and more.Yes, higher price than run of the mill bread but this is artisan very much natural ingredients and flavors that are unique. So of course it is worth it.Parking is easy for the plaza and location is a great one in the 50th street neighborhood.I get a piece of bread every chance I get. So many flavors and types and many seasonal ones. Love this place!
