★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Headed here after having lunch at ‘Tank Noodle’ and got a couple egg tarts and baos but they’ve got a pretty good selection. They’ve got pastries, cookies, small cakes, muffins, egg rolls, zong zi and more.Lady that picks out food for customers is super friendly and don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any. Great place for a sweet treat after a meal. Location is great being right next to the Argyle train station too.
August 08 · Xoom TooOrdered a custom round strawberry cake for a bridal shower and it turned out beautifully!!
July 14 · Sara LiangOld-fashioned Chinese bakery, with both Chinese and some Western offerings. They taste fine and prices were reasonable. The staff do appear to also speak Vietnamese (it is Argyle, after all). The store itself is basic, with nowhere to sit. The place is cash-only, fyi.
September 04 · Andrew DengBeen going to this place for years. Prices have been going up for awhile, as the quality started going down for the past year.Today the BBQ Baked Pork Bun was $1.90.- Neither the bun or the BBQ pork was sweet. Almost to the point of no taste at all.Steamed BBQ Pork Bun 6 for $14- Picture worth a 1,000 words. As you can see I had to cut most of the dough off, before I can see a thin trace of BBQ pork paste. The texture is good, but the taste isn't. The dough should be slightly sweet & the BBQ pork should be sweet.Steamed Rice Cakes- forgot how much it cost, but it wasn't cheap. Texture is good, but not very sweet as it should be.As for the baked & steamed BBQ pork buns, I'm going to stick with the frozen ones. At least, the quality & taste is consistent.I understand cost of doing business is going up & I don't mind paying more for good quality food. This was a total waste of money & I feel taken advantage of.The last time I'm going here for anything. If the people that came before & after me today, got the same items, I'm sure they'll feel they didn't get what they paid for.
May 22 · Wilson YuenBeen there a couple of times, bread is delicious, I mostly buy sweet bread and sesame balls which are my favorites, they don't have as much variety as the one in Chinatown but still decent. Prices run about 2.50 a piece for most bread and higher for some others. Also for those of us who live in the Northside is a great alternative.
