David's Cookies Facility Introduce
For many New Jersey residents, the name "David's Cookies" evokes a sense of nostalgic delight, conjuring images of warm, chewy cookies. While local users might be familiar with purchasing David's Cookies products through various retail channels or online, the address provided for "David's Cookies Facility" at 28 Industrial Rd, Fairfield, NJ, represents a crucial operational hub rather than a traditional retail bakery storefront. This facility is a significant part of the larger David's Cookies enterprise, primarily functioning as a production and distribution center that serves a wide array of clients, including foodservice providers, in-store bakeries, convenience stores, and corporate gifting programs across the United States and internationally.
David's Cookies has a rich history, beginning in 1979 when David Liederman, a classically trained French chef, opened his first cookie shop in Manhattan. What started as a retail franchise with over 200 stores globally eventually evolved. In the late 1980s, Fairfield Gourmet Foods Corp., a New Jersey-based gourmet dessert company, acquired the brand. Under this new ownership, David's Cookies expanded its focus, transitioning into a full-line dessert supplier that produces a diverse range of baked goods, including brownies, crumb cakes, muffin batters, thaw-and-serve muffins, and cheesecakes, in addition to their famous cookies. This evolution underscores the scale and sophistication of operations at facilities like the one in Fairfield.
The Fairfield facility is integral to this extensive operation, representing a key point in the supply chain for baked goods that reach various markets. It is here that the commitment to using fresh, simple, and wholesome ingredients – without added preservatives – is maintained on a large scale. While reviews provided speak to the experience of truck drivers dealing with logistics at the facility, they offer an indirect glimpse into the highly coordinated and busy nature of a major food production and distribution center. For the average local consumer, this facility is where the magic happens behind the scenes, enabling them to enjoy David's Cookies products through their favorite local grocery stores, cafes, or online orders.
Understanding the nature of this facility helps to contextualize its purpose for New Jersey residents. It is not a place for a casual walk-in purchase of a single cookie, but rather a vital component of a large-scale bakery business that supplies a vast network of clients with a wide range of baked and frozen dessert products. This industrial presence highlights New Jersey's role as a significant hub for food production and distribution, contributing to the broader economy and ensuring that delicious baked goods are readily available across the nation.
The David's Cookies Facility is strategically located at 28 Industrial Rd, Fairfield, NJ 07004, USA. This address places it squarely within one of Fairfield's industrial and commercial zones. Fairfield, a borough in Essex County, New Jersey, is particularly well-suited for such a facility due to its robust infrastructure and excellent transportation links.
Industrial Road itself is indicative of the area's purpose, housing numerous businesses involved in manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. For commercial vehicles, accessibility to this location is generally good, with wide roads designed to accommodate truck traffic. For local New Jersey residents, particularly those in Fairfield and neighboring towns like West Caldwell, Caldwell, and Lincoln Park, reaching the general area is straightforward, though direct public access for retail purchases at this specific facility is not implied by its nature.
A significant advantage of Fairfield's location is its proximity to major highways. Routes 46, 80, 23, and 280 are all easily accessible from this area. This connectivity is crucial for a large-scale distribution facility like David's Cookies, enabling efficient transport of products to various markets across New Jersey, the wider tri-state area, and beyond. This ease of access for logistics is a key factor in why such an operation is situated here.
Given its industrial nature, parking at the facility would be primarily for employees and commercial vehicles involved in shipping and receiving. The reviews provided, while focusing on truck driver experiences, mention considerations like "employee parking" and "very tight" conditions around the docks, suggesting a highly operational environment rather than a public-facing retail space. While the location is physically accessible within the New Jersey road network, it operates as a business-to-business (B2B) hub rather than a consumer-facing storefront.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hard-working people with the docs very very tight especially with employee parking. Your best bet is to get there early and back in there’s two sides there’s receiving and shipping. The shipping side has the sign that says park along curb. There is a small road around the back of the building that you take to get into the docks there it’s very tightbut doable even with employee parking good luck
March 07 · DavidAs a truck driver, I can't give this place more than 2 stars. My appt was for a Wednesday from 6 pm to 5 am as per broker instructions (tql). When I arrived 30 min before my appt, they rejected me because they were leaving early that day and won't be back until Saturday (jew holiday). They could receive my load if they wanted to, but none wanted to help. TQL didn't know about the holidays, of course, so I had to hold the load until Saturday. For truckers, these people receive from 5am to 4pm. Night shift do not receive loads. In my case, the broker gave the wrong information about delivery time, and also, the workers from here didn't want to help me when I 1st arrived

December 19 · Kim PatinoWe ordered cookies for the holidays. Normally we love these cookies. My order first came (late) and half of it was missing. They did respond and sent us what we ordered. It came all smashed after being delivered by UPS. We just want a refund at this point.
