In a vibrant culinary hub like Miami, the quest for truly authentic, high-quality baked goods often leads locals to hidden gems. Domaselo, located on SW 11th St, is one such place. More than just a bakery, Domaselo operates as a specialized Fresh Food Market, deeply rooted in the philosophy of simple, time-honored baking traditions. It is a small business with a big heart, bringing the rich, complex flavors of slow-fermented, "mother dough" bread to the fast-paced South Florida lifestyle.
The experience at Domaselo transcends a simple transaction. Customers consistently praise the moment they walk up, greeted by the "fragrant aroma of fresh baked bread like a long lost friend." This feeling of connection, of a "throw back to the old country," is intentional. The bakery’s foundation is built on the heritage of its founder, who brought the authentic methods of baking, passed down from his mother and grandmother in Macedonia, to Miami. This commitment means focusing on pure, minimal ingredients—organic stone-milled flour, water, and salt—and a long, minimum 24-hour fermentation process that is key to both flavor and easier digestion.
Domaselo specializes in a variety of sourdoughs, including the simple yet perfect Country Sourdough, a highly recommended High Protein Sourdough, and specialty loaves featuring everything from roasted red pepper spread and feta cheese to chocolate almond. The passion of the staff, who are happy to explain the origins and craft of their bread, makes every visit a special occasion. This combination of exceptional product quality, rich tradition, and warm customer service has solidified Domaselo's status as a genuine Miami staple for any true bread lover.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This little bread shop, so unassuming in it’s appearance and lovely, is a little gem. From the moment you walk up you are greeted with the fragrant aroma of fresh baked bread like a long lost friend. And that’s exactly what this place is a throw back to the old country (no matter if they’re from Macedonia and you are not) it somehow makes you feel connected to a simpler time. They have a storefront that has a wall that displays clipboards with their inventory and prices and a window with which you order from. They will slice the bread there for you. You can also order online for pick up. I came in one early Saturday morning and was greeted by one of the owners. He was adamant that I try their new dulce de leche they HD made themselves and their new bread infused with roasted red pepper spread and feta cheese. I am so happy I stuck around to do so. Talk about flavor and fresh ingredients. This is definitely a new Miami staple.

March 11 · Byron OrtegaI heard about Domaselo through a friend and while it is kind of out to the way for me, I made it and I couldn’t be happier about that. They sell about 9-10 different kind of sourdough, yes only sourdough. Bread is baked onsite and it is as fresh and soft as it could be. I bought 2 loaves of bread on a Sunday and 4 days later, they are not hard which is one of the problems with the mainstream grocery stores, their bread gets hard after 4-5 days.Bread is sold out of a window, literally a window, pretty cute. The employees are friendly, offer samples, etc.I see myself returning to this store for more bread for sure.
May 29 · Frank GarciaI just went to the grocery store and was sitting in traffic on the way home when I remembered someone recommended this place to me. I had a pack of provolone and a starving 3 year old in the car. I decided to make cheese sandwiches in the car using the provolone and their garlic tomato bread. Oh my goodness by the time we got home we looked down and realized we almost ate the entire loaf. It was absolutely delicious! The texture of the bread is what I appreciate most. It’s not full of tons of giant holes and is dense to perfection. Later on at home we toasted the chocolate almond bread and smeared on some Nocciolata. Wowzers!Tomorrow I will fry some eggs to put on top of the olive bread.I’m happy ☺️
