It is just a half block from the South Harbor/Waterfront parking structure, and very much worth the walk.Unlike other donut places with donuts that all generally look and taste about the same, here the donuts have very distinct decorations and flavors. During the heavy tourists season the location may feel crowded. If all the seats are taken, the nearby Charlotte Forten Park should be a good spot.
April 11 · Hector PolancoSuper fun themed delicious donuts! There was a different theme each day when we were there. First day was Harry Potter, yesterday was paranormal, and today was May the 4th be with you. I just told my cousin I am sad because we have to leave and won’t be able to get more of these donuts tomorrow. See you next time, Funhouse!
May 04 · Noelle HeldVisited twice while on a short vacation. Such fun doughnuts! They even had Star Wars on May 4th! Honestly the best doughnuts I have ever had. Fun atmosphere. The person working was friendly.
May 12 · Laura BabbWhat a concept... Creepy Funhouse in Salem, MA. slinging themed donuts. On paper this should kill (pun intended). However once you step foot into the place, all fun fizzles away. I don't know if the person working here is the owner or an employee but man... people skills were not good. Vibes were bad and I felt like I was encroaching on their personal space being a nuisance asking to buy a donut. I can't speak to the quality of the actual donut as I didn't eat it. They looked good but donuts aren't my thing. My only other critique is that the fun furniture in there needs some cleaning; super dirty and I would not be sitting in the chair(s). Hopefully they correct the personnel aspect. If you're the owner... hire someone better suited at customer service.
June 04 · Todd GaitoFirst I would like to say this is be the most creative way to present donuts and other sweet treats. I happened to stop in on Sunday the July 13 th and there was cool looking Labubu donut and I had to try . Just saying , this was the best donut I’ve had in forever. If you are ever in Salem stop in Funhouse Donuts and enjoy . You won’t regret it . Okay maybe the calories . You only live once !
