Jessie's Bagels Introduce
For those of us in New York, a truly great bagel is more than just a food item; it's a way of life. It’s the perfect start to a busy day, a comforting lunch, or a quick, satisfying bite when you’re on the go. In the charming village of Sloatsburg, there's a beloved establishment that has been serving up fresh bagels and more for years: Jessie's Bagels. This isn't just a place to grab a quick coffee; it's a local institution that has grown and evolved with the community.
Jessie's Bagels is a long-standing fixture in Sloatsburg, known for its dedication to serving the community with a wide range of delicious food options. What started as a smaller, busy bagel shop has expanded into a more spacious and inviting cafe, allowing for an even broader menu and a more comfortable dining experience. Named after the owner's daughter, Jessie's Bagels takes pride in offering fresh bagels, hearty breakfast sandwiches, and a diverse selection of lunch items like paninis, salads, and more. Beyond the food, the friendly and helpful staff consistently receive praise for their welcoming demeanor, making every visit a pleasant one. While some patrons have specific preferences regarding their sandwich preparations, the overall consensus points to a place that strives to deliver quality food with a personal touch. It’s a place that adapts and invests in its space, showing a strong commitment to its customers and to Sloatsburg itself. Whether you’re a long-time resident or just passing through, Jessie's Bagels provides a taste of local charm and a satisfying meal.
Jessie's Bagels is conveniently located at 207 Orange Turnpike, Sloatsburg, NY 10974, USA. This address places it along a key thoroughfare that connects Sloatsburg with neighboring towns like Tuxedo, making it a highly accessible spot for both local residents and commuters. Orange Turnpike is a significant road in this part of Rockland County, ensuring good visibility and ease of access.
The accessibility of Jessie's Bagels is a notable advantage. The current location is a spacious upgrade from its previous spots, offering ample parking for customers. This is particularly beneficial in an area where convenient parking can sometimes be a challenge. Its position between Sloatsburg and Tuxedo makes it a natural stop for those traveling in the region, whether they are heading to or from various points in the Ramapo Mountains or simply commuting through the area. For local Sloatsburg residents, the location is central and easily reachable by car. While public transportation options directly on Orange Turnpike might be more limited compared to densely urban areas, the focus on vehicle accessibility caters well to the suburban New York lifestyle. The design of the new cafe, which includes more space and seating, enhances its appeal as a convenient and comfortable place to dine in or grab food on the go.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Such a cute place next door to their previous place, which is next door to the place before that. They have lots of options that I'll need to go back and try soon. This time I got the eggplant panini and it was very good, and I don't like eggplant! The only issue was that it had too much oil on it for my taste, but it was still the best eggplant sandwich that I've ever had. The fries and onion rings were also good and not greasy at all. The iced coffee with hazelnut syrup was also delicious and refreshing. The young man who took our order was also super nice and very helpful in deciding what to order.
April 24 · Amy ArensbergTo be honest the bagel sandwich is lacking punch. It's pretty depressing when you only see one egg included in your sandwich. What I would suggest is just to go ahead and start making them with two eggs and then increase your price. Because looked pretty sad when you just see a lot of bread
June 21 · james bondToday I ordered pastrami sandwich on a hero role for $10.99. I asked for Russian dressing and coleslaw. When I got the bill I saw they were going to charge me $7.48 for coleslaw on the sandwich. I cancelled the coleslaw. I live in NYC. Not known for low prices. I have never been charged for coleslaw on my sandwich. But if I were, it would be like 1.00 like some places charge for sliced tomato. Anyway, just be warned to check your bill at this place. From now on I will stick to buying their bagels which are excellent. I am looking forward to reading the owner's response. He seems to have an answer for everyone.I was back at Jessie's this week and had a good conversation with Jesse the owner. I have seen her behind the counter for years. I did not know she is the owner. She has always provided great service and I now understand that what happened to me was a mistake by a new employee.
June 30 · peter crossWe usually stop here to get our family breakfast on our way to the city. Unfortunately, this will no longer be our breakfast spot. I kindly asked for a couple of cups for my toddlers to drink their juice in the car. The employee said "Ok, but I'll have to charge you." I explained I was already ordering food and drinks and that it would be very helpful for the kids. Employee said, "We have to pay for them so..." I thought that was so rude. Being frequent customers and being treated this way.. we won't return. Also the bread was burned as shown in the picture. That could've been overlooked but the employee's rudeness cannot.
January 29 · StephanieWhat a disappointment. We've been coming here for years now and been loyal customers. Until today..... Greeted by a cold cashier taking our orders with a cold stoned face. We both ordered the egg platter which came with toasts. When asked with or without butter we both said no butter, yet all toasts came with butter. The coffee was horrible, watered down coffee for how much?!! Please don't ask for a pre-tip for sit down customers before the food is delivered. We will not visit again anytime soon. Also, maybe try and train your staff what customer service is all about.
