For any Delaware local or visitor, Old World Breads Bakery is simply worth choosing for its uncompromising commitment to quality, a variety that transcends the typical bakery, and its integral role in the local food community. The difference is in the details—from the meticulous, long-fermentation process of the sourdough that enhances flavor and texture, to the use of high-quality ingredients like European butter and locally-sourced produce.

August 23 · gandhi hurwitzCould not have a better location. Directly off the Georgetown-Lewes trail for bikers but also a large lot for vehicles. Personable ordering combined with consistently delicious food!
August 03 · Darren LandisIf you're looking for specialty baked breaded items like cookies, muffins, pies, quiche, old world bread offers a big selection. We typically stop on our trip back home from the beach and get a few items for ourselves and as gifts. We are always happy with everything we get. In addition to our usual, we ordered coffee and hot breakfast sandwiches for the trip back, and were very disappointed. Coffee, despite being espresso, was weak and tasteless. The breakfast sandwich is an omelet between a 'brioche' aka hamburger or potato bun without condiments. So they were very dry and flavorless, definitely not worth the $8.50 price point. All in all, they do a great job with their bakery items and will continue ordering the items we do enjoy.
September 14 · Anne-Marie CharlandI recommend going in person instead of placing order online so you can see what looks tasty and catches your eye in the display case. They have some GREAT bread. Some pastries are hit or miss. Would definitely come back again for the sticky bun, and to try their cookies and maybe a croissant.
February 23 · Morgan PFavorite booth to visit during Lewes Saturday morning Farmers Market. I always get Cranberry and walnut boule, Morning Glory(Vegan muffins), croissants, Focaccia, and sticky buns. All highly recommended! I also get their Raisins bread if it’s not Sold Out!
