What is Worth Choosing
For Utah residents seeking an authentic bakery experience, Panaderia Flores Rose Park is a fantastic choice, especially if you value cultural heritage and small business support. You are choosing a business built on the tradition of the Los Flores family, bringing the rich, buttery, and sweet flavors of authentic Mexican Pan Dulce to the Rose Park community. The genuine nature of the products, from the everyday sweet breads to specialty offerings like Pasteles Tres Leches, sets it apart from more generalized bakeries. The fact that it is a women-owned establishment adds another layer of community value, making your purchase a direct investment in local, diverse entrepreneurship.
Furthermore, the bakery's versatility is a key selling point. It is not only the go-to spot for a quick, delicious morning pastry and a coffee, but it is also a trusted source for elaborate, custom wedding and celebration cakes. This dual focus on daily treats and high-end event baking provides a reliable option for all your dessert needs. While one piece of customer feedback noted a significant price increase on a highly seasonal item (Pan de Muerto) during the holiday itself, this fluctuation is often common with in-demand seasonal specialties across the retail landscape. The overwhelming sentiment remains that the quality and experience—especially the kindness of the staff and the deliciousness of the pastries—make Panaderia Flores a rewarding choice for any local who loves good, authentic baking. Choose Panaderia Flores Rose Park when you want incredible flavor, a friendly face, and a truly traditional Mexican baked good experience in Salt Lake City.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Lovely bakery! Went here on a school trip and the staff was so lovely and kind! I bought a variety of pastries and they were all incredible! All my classmates also enjoyed the pastries and we plan to go again! Would totally recommend, such a great experience!
May 21 · Isabella deLagerheimI went last week to get "Pan de Muerto". I paid $8.99 for a large piece. It was a decent deal. Today Nov 1st, I went again to the same location (by Redwood Rd), same bread size, the price was $14.99. Can you believe it? $6.00 more just because it's Día de los Muertos? No thanks. I went to Rancho Markets on 900 West. Almost the same size and inside a nice box $3.99. A smaller version made from scratch was $2.00. I'm posting the pics as a proof. Good bye Bakery Flores!
November 01 · D DMy family has been going to this bakery since we came to the states. I can say timeHasn’t been kind to it they never have bolillos or any kind of sweet bread very small selection I will be taking my business elsewhere. The new lady there is also very rude when you ask her if they have bolillos let your money talk and go elsewhere.

November 22 · Marco RuizIt's a Mexican bakery - if you've never been in one (and shame on you if you haven't!), you walk in, grab a cafeteria tray and a pair of tongs, and go crazy. There's also a small grocery section though I've not availed myself of that yet, do they have what look like gelatin fruit cups in a number of flavors, some really remarkable cheeses, and more ornate pastries than in the glass cabinets. I went for the regular pastries, which were amazing; in addition to all the usual, they have thick slices of pound cake with chocolate icing that are moist and incredible. My favorite however is the bread, those big honkin football-shaped loaves that they bring out in metal "cupboards" and when you open them and smell all that fresh bread, your world is just set to rights. When I first arrived, I could not find the bread which I knew would be there, and one of the patrons was able to point me in the right direction, as fresh bread was being rolled out. My complaint is the service from the staff. The older woman at the counter does not speak English (though that's not really the problem) nor does she understand how to make change (which is a problem). She totaled my order and showed me the calculator (they don't have a cash register): $3.86. I handed her $5.11, and she simply glared at me and continued to shake the calculator at me. Change would have been $1.25, simple math but I couldn't show her that because I had left my phone on the charger in the car. I took back the 11 cents and wound up with a bunch of pennies I did not need and a lot of nasty looks. So go for the baked goods, but for the love of all it's holy, take exact change!
