## Piroshky Piroshky | Columbia Center: Bringing Authentic Russian Baking to Downtown Seattle
For Washingtonians working or visiting the heart of downtown Seattle, Piroshky Piroshky at the Columbia Center offers a beloved and distinctive culinary experience. Far from being a traditional bakery, this establishment specializes in the "piroshky"—an Eastern European turnover or hand-held savory or sweet pastry. Since its inception in 1992, Piroshky Piroshky has become a Pacific Northwest institution, fusing traditional Russian baking techniques with a unique Pacific Northwest twist, and this downtown location brings that authentic flavor right to the central business district.
The concept is simple: delicious, scratch-made, hand-molded pastries that are satisfying enough for a full meal. This location is particularly popular among the downtown business crowd due to its convenient setting and emphasis on a quick visit. It operates seamlessly as both a specialty Bakery and a fast-casual Restaurant, offering a wide selection of both classic and locally-inspired fillings locked inside a tender, flaky dough.
Unlike the flagship store, the Columbia Center branch provides a streamlined experience, allowing local patrons to easily grab one of their favorite hot pastries for Breakfast or lunch without the lengthy lines often associated with the brand’s other, more tourist-heavy locations. It is a reliable source of high-quality, inexpensive, and utterly unique comfort food.
## Location and Accessibility

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1After spending an hour enjoying the views from the observation floor, we decided to grab some lunch to take back to our hotel. Piroshky Piroshky was an excellent choice and one that I would recommend to anyone. We enjoyed both the savory Smoked Salmon Pâté Piroshky and the sweet Almond Vanilla Piroshky. The woman who helped us was exceptionally nice and recommended both of our choices. I would love to go back and try more of their offerings and I happily give Piroshky Piroshky two thumbs up and all the stars.
February 07 · William BowenGood variety of piroshky and much shorter line than the shop at Pike market. Smoked salmon was excellent. Beef potatoes was a bit starchy for me
November 15 · Yizu Lulu YehFinally got to try some Piroshky since my obsession with a certain anime featuring hot Russian figure skaters, and these do not disappoint, flavourful and hearty and neither too dry nor too greasy. Besides, you can grab any Piroshky for $3 during Happy Hour (after 2pm?), which is a pretty sweet deal.
June 27 · Xindi HGreat staff and food, don’t miss this place! I had the Hash Brown, Bacon, Egg and Cheese it was perfect.
March 18 · Jim BoyleI went in early and had nice, fast service. The beef and onion piroshky was hot and tasty. A bit gristly, but that's probably an authentic touch. I know 8 dollars for a snack seems expensive, but it's typical for the area and it kept me from being hungry for hours. Also, being able to use the bathroom to wash up before eating is a real bonus in that section of town where nice restrooms are a rare find.
