From classic glazed donuts to traditional pies, nearly everything at Sunnyside Pastries is made from scratch, promising a taste of true local heritage with every bite. While some experiences may vary, the core appeal lies in their commitment to fresh, comforting treats. As one enthusiastic customer shared, "Love this place. Some of the best donuts I've had," highlighting favorites like the glazed ring and chocolate cake donuts. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of Sunnyside Pastries, detailing its location, the variety of products it offers, and what truly makes it a suitable and enduring choice for locals in Pennsylvania.
Location and accessibility are important considerations for any local business in Pennsylvania, and Sunnyside Pastries is uniquely situated to serve its community. You'll find their primary retail store next to their bake shop at 421 Weaverland Valley Rd, East Earl, PA 17519, USA. This location places the bakery in the scenic and tranquil heart of Lancaster County, an area known for its rural charm and strong Amish communities.
For those traveling by car, Weaverland Valley Road is a country road, and while it might require a bit of navigation for those unfamiliar with the area, it is generally accessible. Parking at their retail store is typically ample, allowing for a convenient and unhurried visit. What significantly enhances Sunnyside Pastries' accessibility to a broader audience across Pennsylvania is its strong presence at local farmers markets. They operate multiple stands at the renowned Green Dragon Market in Ephrata, PA, every Friday. As one customer noted, "This review is for one of the stands at the Green Dragon market in Ephrata." They are also found at the Leesport Farmers Market. This dual approach – a dedicated retail shop and popular market stalls – ensures that more Pennsylvanians can access their freshly baked goods, even if they're just passing through or visiting the markets. The experience of finding them at a vibrant market, or driving through the picturesque countryside to their East Earl location, adds to the authentic local charm that many residents appreciate.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Love this place. Some of the best donuts I've had, but dont get roped into those super sweet and over the top donuts. My personal favorites are the glazed ring, sugar ring, and glazed chocolate cake. If you go early enough, you can also fine donut holes. The chocolate are the best, but they sell fastThey are made fresh in store so if you buy a lot make sure to put them in an air tight container for the next day to keep them fresh!(Their may be a large dog there but it's friendly)
June 28 · Jess HThis review is for one of the stands at the Green Dragon market in Ephrata. I ordered one mini coconut cream pie and half a dozen donuts. While everything behind the case looks amazing it didn’t actually taste that great. The pie filling tasted like banana and the crust was so dry it didn’t stick to the filling. Hard to even call pie. The donuts were either lacking in flavor or overly sweet. Very hit or miss. The worst part is the young man helping me (he must’ve been 14 or younger) charged me for a dozen when I only got half a dozen. I didn’t realize I was over charged by almost $10 until I was already home.
April 22 · Melisa KozanI was just introduced to this establishment a few days ago and everything about my visit was amazing. I felt like a child in a candy store because there were so many tasty choices! The prices are reasonable and the freshness, taste, and selection beats any fast food/coffee store, by far. In addition to the great products was friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Looking back at my experience, I can't say I was ever so inclined to snap a few pictures at the local Dunkin Donuts nor can I imagine they would be as polite as Sunnyside Pastries employees were when I asked permission to use my camera. All around, I had a wonderful time and will certainly be returning!
September 16 · Lissa CThe aroma was incredible as you enter. The store was immaculate inside and out! The prices were more than reasonable. The donuts and pastries were DELICIOUS! This is a must go to! Staff was very friendly! There’s also a lovely Labrador outside greeter. A great way to start the day.
July 25 · L AndersonStopped to check out the donuts and pastries. Everything looked very good, but was a disappointment when I tasted it. There was a lot of cream in the donut, but no flavor. Sho fly pie was dry and tasteless. The glazed donuts dried up in one day, they were definitely old.
