★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m visiting family nearby and this was recommended as a great coffee and pastry spot. They were right! Pastries were delicious and loved the coffee cubes for my ice coffee. The only reason not a 5 is the fluorescent lighting. This place is super cute and would look even better with warm light that is less sterile.
July 12 · David SherinCute little shop with a good selection of gifts from the New England area, Finnish bread, locally made pastries & cookies, coffee, & an ice cream window. Staff was overwhelmed but it was a really hot holiday weekend when we stopped by - perfect ice cream weather & every ice cream place in the state probably had long lines! They were moving fast & apologized for the wait. Great place and we would happily stop here again!
July 09 · mags cSuch a cute little place with all kinds of gift type items, local food to purchase and warm welcoming staff. The coffee and the warm muffins straight out of the oven are delightful! Love this place!
July 03 · Katlin MurphyKitchen Garden is a delightful little gem in the lovely small town of Templeton, MA. Let me start with the baked goods. My goodness, are they absolutely delicious! Everything is so fresh and perfectly prepared. My favorite is the almond cupcakes, which I cannot leave this bakery without purchasing EVERY TIME. They have a similar texture to pound cake with an amazing flavor of buttery marzipan and lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. The cookies are soft and chewy and come in a large variety of flavors. Honestly some of the best cookies I’ve had in years. The almond cake is stellar, the Nisu is a classic and something I grew up on, so it’s nice to have a nostalgic option at a small local business. I have yet to try the pies, but they are always so pretty and very tempting! The coffee is also very good and they offer several different options for creamers, including non dairy. Now for the rest: Kitchen Garden also has a large variety of locally sourced gifts, a few items being yak products such as gloves, hats and scarves. There are lots of cute trinkets, magnets, games, candy and so much more. Lots of the items are Finnish related, which I think is really cool, but I may be biased as I am of Finnish descent. 😊In the summer months, they offer ice cream with the option of incorporating some of their baked goods in, such as sundaes and in house baked cookie ice cream sandwiches. I highly suggest the oatmeal cookie with maple walnut ice cream as a combo! They also have a good sized outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. There are lots of flowers and it’s nicely landscaped. There’s plenty of parking and it’s easy to find. The staff are always friendly, pleasant and smiling. If you haven’t checked out Kitchen Garden yet, you are doing yourself a huge disservice and should go check it out ASAP!
February 01 · Wendie SueI was in the area, so I stopped by and grabbed a strawberry frape. They have a small store with baked goods and handmade items for sale. They also had some flowers, vegetable, and herb plants outside for sale.
