Lovely view along the tracks and the breakfast sandwiches were great.
August 31 · Eric GunnDo yourself a favor and visit. The pastries here are fantastic. Not “good for a small town,” but genuinely excellent. There’s a formally trained pastry chef on staff and it shows, big time. The scones are perfectly crispy on the outside but tender and fluffy on the inside, and they are thoughtfully but subtly seasoned. The focaccia rivals any I’ve had anywhere, and I’ve had some incredible focaccia in my life. It helps that both times I’ve had it, the focaccia was still cooling on a rack, having been freshly baked that day. The lemon meringue tartlets are fabulous: the pastry crumb is flaky and firm without being tough, the filling is sweet without being cloying, and the meringue recalls the flavors of a campfire-toasted marshmallow. Oh, and I am so pleased to see Bart at the counter when I visit. I could go on and on, but the point is, you should try this place!!
