The story of The Sconeage Bakery has deep roots in Long Beach. The owner, Lionel, affectionately known as "The Sconeman," moved to California from France over 25 years ago. His culinary journey started with a successful coffee shop called Café Con Leche. After its closing, he and his wife, Mara, along with their seven children—many of whom now work in the store and manage local farmers market booths—opened The Sconeage Bakery. This family dedication shines through in the friendly customer service and the consistently high quality of their baked goods, creating an atmosphere that customers genuinely appreciate and love supporting.
Whether you are a Long Beach resident running errands, or a visitor looking for an authentic local culinary gem, stopping by for a treat or stocking up on their famous granola is an absolute must.
