Twisted Croissant & Patisserie Introduce
For those residing in or visiting Oregon’s culinary capital, the pursuit of the perfect, shatteringly crisp, and buttery pastry often leads straight to Twisted Croissant & Patisserie. Operating as a dedicated Bakery, this Portland institution has earned a reputation that far exceeds its simple classification, becoming known as a modern patisserie where culinary boundaries are not just pushed but actively celebrated. The business focuses intensely on laminated dough, transforming the classic French croissant into a playground for innovative, seasonal flavor combinations.
The experience at Twisted Croissant & Patisserie is built upon a foundation of quality. As noted by patrons, the pastries are not only "delicious but beautifully made," demonstrating the high level of artistry and dedication from the bakers. Their core offerings are a testament to this philosophy, featuring creative hybrids like the signature Cruffin—a delectable mash-up of a croissant and a muffin—and seasonal croissants with unique fillings such as Fig & Nectarine or Chocolate & Cherry. This focus on inventive, seasonal items ensures that every visit, whether for a quick morning bite or a weekend indulgence, offers a fresh and exciting taste experience unique to the Portland market. While its operations are streamlined to facilitate a Quick visit, the depth and complexity of the menu items, combined with the availability of Coffee, make it a rewarding destination for any local Oregon pastry enthusiast.
This popular establishment is centrally located in Portland's dynamic Northwest neighborhood (often referred to as Slabtown), positioned at 1784 NW Northrup St, NW 18th Ave, Portland, OR 97209, USA. This location makes it highly accessible for residents living in or commuting through the NW section of the city.
In terms of logistics, the convenience of the location is balanced by the urban setting. Customers utilizing personal vehicles should note the availability of Paid street parking nearby, a typical consideration for this bustling Portland area. Crucially, the bakery demonstrates its commitment to serving the entire Oregon community by providing essential accessibility features, including a Wheelchair accessible entrance. Once inside (or outside), patrons are treated to a welcoming environment. Customer feedback notes that the shop has a "cozy and welcoming vibe" and that there is "A lot of sitting in this spot," contradicting the simplicity of its single 'Takeout' service option and implying robust onsite dining capacity for those who wish to linger. The availability of seating allows patrons to comfortably enjoy their selection of Breakfast items and Coffee in a relaxed setting. While the business aims for consistency, one review mentioned occasional variances in fresh delivery and opening times, suggesting that arriving close to the scheduled opening time is always advisable to secure the freshest selection of these highly sought-after pastries.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I stopped by Twisted Patisserie while visiting Portland and it did not disappoint. I got the chocolate croissant and it was honestly one of the best I have ever had. It was perfectly flaky, buttery, and filled with rich chocolate. The pastries here are not only delicious but beautifully made. The shop has a cozy and welcoming vibe and the staff were super friendly. If you are in Portland and craving something sweet this spot is definitely worth checking out.
June 18 · Hassan HashiEdit Aug 2025 - they sell leftover pastry 😑While I’ve loved Twisted Croissant for years and recommend it to everyone, today the chocolate croissant we received is Not Fresh. Pretty sure it’s leftover from yesterday. I know that day-old croissant taste, chewy, not crispy or flaky. They don’t even bother to re-toast it. Very disappointed. It’s also weird that they’re supposed to be open at 7am, but at 7:30 am when we arrived at the door, the staff just switched the sign from “closed” to “open. Something is going wrong likely. Not sure if I’ll give it another chance. At least not this location.——————-Can’t go wrong with this spot, raspberry rose cruffin is always good, we also tried the seasonal apricot croissant tart w/ fromage blanc which I like even more. Crispy croissant layers, nicely apricot jam not too sweet not too source, the bottom is like a cheesecake. A lot of sitting in this spot. Less selection in cakes.
August 08 · Fang FangWent with a lot of expectations to twisted croissant. Unfortunately turned down when we were told they are out of cruffins which we wanted to try. So tried cherry filled croissant. Although it looked fantastic, somehow didn’t like the texture of the croissant. It’s hard on the outside which is different from what we are generally used to. Didn’t felt the cherry and chocolate complemented each other. Overall disappointed. Store was empty when we went in. It was quiet. Parking is a nightmare. Staff who was working is good. Ambiance is very clean and modern. I love the fact that they are part of inKind which is helpful.Sorry I wasn’t rude but cutdown the star rating as I didn’t like the taste of the one I tried. I updated my rating as it may not be fair to judge by one item
August 07 · sundeepThe food and latte were excellent. The ambiance was fairly sterile as it’s located in an apartment building, but the food is great. I ordered the bacon, jalapeño, and cream cheese quiche; chocolate, cherry suisse croissant with a latte. Each was very good. I may go back another day to try some other items on the menu while I’m in town!
July 05 · Brandon CThis is my first visit to this location of theirs. It's pretty spacious as it shares a lobby with an apartment complex in Northrup area. There's also places for you to study and just lounge around. We decided to try the passion, mango, and guava cream puff. The base exterior had a nice hard texture to it and the inside was full of flavors. The top part had a nice light taste to it. The combination went very well together.
