Union Square Donuts is a pastry shop chain all across the Massachusetts area serving small treats, but mainly doughnuts as their name describes.The space here is small, with little to no seating and just as small standing room. It was pretty quick to get my order, and they keep everything tidy and clean.We decided to try their viral Dubai Chocolate bar, which had a dusting of gold flakes on the top, as well as a pistachio cream on the inside. I thought it was alright, a bit on the heavier side for me with the amount of sugar, but I'm eating a doughnut so I should've expected that. The filling was alright and tasted fine, though I thought the donut was also a bit oily? It felt like oil but I think it might just be the glaze. Pretty good donut though, and would try again in the future.

Morgan was SO sweet- THE BOMB DIGGITY!! As someone who’s new to the area (and has a sweet tooth) they were so kind to offer recommendations, as well as just have kindness overall and good vibes!!The cherry hibiscus is DELISH, 10/10- it’s got the right amount of sweetness and frosting to dough ratio!!The Boston cream (my first time trying it!!) was SO YUM!Overall I will certainly be coming back!! What a lovely shop, I will have to try every don’t at least once!! Huge shoutout to Morgan for being awesome and so helpful!!

i got the chance to try the brown butter cruller and dubai chocolate donut which were both phenomenal. not only were the donuts great, but the person at the register was so sweet (more so than the donuts!) and helpful. could not recommend more for the donuts and the service

Union Square Donuts Monday August 12, 2024 11AMWe had just arrived in Cambridge and after parking in Harvard on Mass Ave we walked into Harvard Square and found the Harvard Coop and we were all needing a mid morning pick me up. I was on my way to Peet's Coffee but the kids all wanted something more on their level. We were walking towards Peets there on Winthrop Square where we came across this little "hole in the wall" place called Union Square Donuts. The kids freaked out and we had to at least walk in. We were in Boston for the Red Sox game in the evening and we had the whole day in Cambridge where I was going to meet up with my brother and his wife. We walked in and I said these words: "Oh this place is very dangerous." To which the guy behind the counter just laughed. The place was simple, clean and white. The donuts of course took me by surprise. They looked amazing. With all the things in them and on them. The prices were high but they looked so good. The few I took pictures of were: 7 layer bar which looked like a mess, maple bacon which shouldn't exist but it does, and finally rainbow sprinkles. Another photo I took included: Blueberry Jam, Caramel Peach Cobbler, Strawberry Shortcake bar and S'mores! Yes, you heard that right, a S'mores flavored donut! They all looked amazing and I told the kids "Ok Ok. just choose one each." Our little one who has a peanut and egg allergy was resigned to the fact that he probably couldn't have one. We were all bumming for him. However, the worker at Union Square Donuts made his day when he said, "They are all vegan, no eggs no peanuts." Wow! We were all so excited for him! The only thing we ordered that I remember was my daughter who appropriately being in Boston ordered a "Boston Creme Pie" donut. Nice. The kids all replied the donuts were amazing and they wanted to go back immediately which we could not do since I went to Peets Coffee and Tea next.
