★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1this was our first time at a filipino bakery, so we decided to try a bunch of different different pastries, both savory and sweet. everything was affordably priced, and we enjoyed every single treat that we purchased. do keep an eye out for the wreck behind the cash registers, as they sometimes have freshly baked goods over there. will definitely be back!
July 21 · N TThe bread here is delicious and there are many choices, and the price of their bread is also reasonable. However, their staff at the counter and cashier seem stressed at work, grumpy, and irritable especially when dealing with fellow Filipinos, but when it comes to other races and especially whites, they are kind. From then until now, the attitude of Filipinos has not changed, there is no love for fellow Filipinos.
May 23 · Diego De LucaInside the massive Seafood City supermarket building. If you love ube, then you have boundless options. Bit on the pricey side but that's the premium for speciality bakery I guess. Had the ube basket and ube pandesal - both tasty, though have a preference for the sweeter basket (also bakesheet under makes it less messy to eat).
July 01 · Nanga MaiI was there on Memorial Day and stopped at Valerio's bakery to pick up some snacks. I picked up the cassava cake, sapin sapin, cake flan, they're good. I also got the macapuno ensaymada. I am having it right now however, there is no macapuno inside all bread, powdered sugar and butter!!! I grabbed that because I am crabing for that and I love coconut especially carmelized but no trace of coconut!!! I came all the way to Chicago. I should have gone to Red Ribbon for the real one. Please change the packaging if the ingredients is not there.
May 30 · Remedios SmithThey almost always have something fresh here and often very baked goods. The ube biko I recently tried was delicious though did not taste like ube at all, maybe it was labeled as such, for the color. Kutchinta is always on point. And if you were thinking about trying the nilupak, you should beware, you can get addicted! ;)
