★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1On street, metered parking BUT they will ticket within seconds so do pay! We saw the writing lots of tickets. On the sunny side - Absolutely loved our visit to Zack the Baker! The Nutella croissant was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had—perfectly flaky with just the right amount of sweetness. We also enjoyed their French toast on our second visit but it is enough for two or three people to share. The staff was friendly and helpful, even finding us a seat inside when it was busy. Coffee refills are available on request, which was a nice bonus. We also appreciated the clean bathroom and reasonable prices, especially for a spot in a larger city.Note: They’re closed on Saturdays, so plan accordingly. If you stop by on a Friday, don’t miss their freshly baked Challah loaves—they looked incredible! We purchased the cranberry country loaf but regret not buying the Challah. Will definitely buy it next time.,Highly recommend for a warm, satisfying start to your day.
July 27 · Holly KingExcellent bakery. I had a croissant which was perfectly done, and also bought a loaf of sour dough. It gets fairly busy and there isn’t much room for a line so you feel like you’re in the way. It seems to work out, but must be frustrating for the wait staff. There is plenty of seating and there are glass windows so you can see the bakery operation which is fun. Overall, highly recommend.
September 01 · M BeanAmazing kosher restaurant. Do keep in mind that if you plan to sit down there is an 18% service fee on top of what you order. This is not really a lounge and work type bakery and is instead a more of a dine-in cafe with take out option. The pastries looked good but I got a BLT (the bacon being salmon bacon, which was amazing!!). You can get a croissant or ciabatta, and I went with ciabatta, it also comes with a side salad which was refreshing and a perfect addition to counterbalance the salty and savory sandwich. I also got a latte, but lowkey it was not my favorite. They also messed up my order by first bringing out a hot latte, but soon corrected it, so I am thankful for their cooperation!
September 19 · Mariel CamargoMy husband and I ordered breakfast — one egg platter and one avocado toast. The taste and quality were great, but the bread portion was disappointingly small, especially for a bakery. This was particularly surprising with the egg platter, where the bread came as two tiny strips alongside the labneh — not even equal to a single slice. The bigger issue, however, was the service — slow, inattentive, and unfriendly. Aside from the hostess, no one seemed interested in engaging with us. It took a while for someone to take our order, even longer for the food to arrive, and no one checked on us afterward. When we finally managed to get someone’s attention for the check, it was handed over without a word, barely any eye contact, and certainly no thank you or goodbye.Perhaps the mandatory 18% service charge has something to do with it — if the tip is guaranteed, there seems to be no motivation to provide decent service.Overall, while we really like this place for its baked goods, we won’t be returning for dine-in. It seems better suited for grab-and-go, or for picking up their bread at Whole Foods.
August 09 · Golnaz EbrahimiA Must-Visit Gem!From the moment you step in, the atmosphere welcomes you with a cozy and sincere vibe. Watching the freshly baked breads come out of the oven brings an instant smile and a sense of comfort. The service is excellent—every staff member is helpful, attentive, and radiates positivity. As for the food—simply amazing. Every dish is delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care. You can easily tell that high-quality ingredients are used, and it truly makes a difference in both flavor and experience.Definitely a place worth visiting—you won’t be disappointed.
