★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Received a cake from this bakery and enjoyed it! It was their coffee and walnut cake- the cake tasted fresh and moist, mildly sweet (which is great because some cakes are too sweet) and the coffee flavor was moderate. There were strawberries, cookies, and walnuts on the cake, which also made it very good. I think it would taste better without the walnuts inside the cake though. I will try their other cake selections next time I'm in the area.
May 09 · Judy Chusmall modern bakery planted on Canal Street in Chinatown. variety of baked items like cakes, mousses, croissants, sweet or savory rolls and more as well as coffees and tea drinks. interior is really clean and brightly lit. most of the bakery items are neatly organized throughout the store. got a savory garlic bread as well as a roll with a walnut filling. both were really well made with the bread part being soft and airy…and tasted freshly made. bring cash—they do accept debit / credit if your total is over $15 (no Amex). worthwhile stop if you’re in Chinatown and need some caffeine and calories to power your day.
March 13 · Ruwan J.I’ve been ordering cakes with them for years for different occasions, they have multiple cake flavors available and the filling is customizable with the choice of budding, taro paste, and fresh fruits.
March 16 · Eve CatPretty decent bakery with enough selection. I had the Portuguese egg tart it was good but the shell was slightly oily.Taro pastry was ok but too sweet for me. It was a little bit artificial, not made with real taro.
January 25 · Julia HsiaI think this opens up pretty recently. I will give it a try on making a birthday cake and I wasn't wrong. The cashier in the front is super helpful because I am the only one there at the moment and the place looks like a self help bakery. You pick your favorite bread or cake and cash out at the front. I saw a lot of great design on cake here on the wall and a booklet as well.Sawing someone a picture of what I want and end up getting exactly as is, this only happens in Chinatown. Also that within 3 hours. You can't get that in much place in NYC. with a quick calculation, the price me pretty reasonably for a 6' inch custom cake with 2 flavors and filling.Over all appreciate the quick help and the cake is amazing according to the one who ate it.
