Every item, from the famous Cronut to the beautifully crafted cakes and tarts, is a testament to this commitment. The bakery has a reputation for constantly innovating, with a rotating menu of seasonal and unique items that keep customers coming back for more. While the Cronut, a hybrid of a croissant and a donut, remains a headline-grabber, the bakery's other offerings are equally "divine" and "a little work of art," as noted by customers. The menu extends beyond pastries, with surprising and satisfying savory options like the "standout" Cuban sandwich, proving the bakery's versatility and culinary prowess.
The atmosphere inside is described as "bustling and energetic," a reflection of its immense popularity. Despite the crowds, the "staff are friendly and efficient," ensuring that the experience remains positive. The space is also "cozy and beautiful," providing a pleasant environment to sit and enjoy your treats. The bakery's reputation is so strong that "the lines outside can be a bit wild," a clear "testament to how delicious everything is." ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This Bakery was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to New York! Crumpets were phenomenal, I ordered the special that had a strawberry cream filling (that I absolutely loved!) but there’s plenty of options available and they all look delicious. Coffee was great as well and they had veggie milks available. Perfect place for a to go order, but definitely worth staying for a while as the place is really cozy and beautiful.
June 08 · Nina VicinoDominique Ansel Bakery is a MUST-VISIT! 🥐☕️ Yes, the lines outside can be a bit wild ⏳, but trust me, it's worth the wait! Their coffee drinks are top-notch 💯, a perfect start to any pastry adventure. And the 🥐 🍩 Cronut? 🤯 Lives up to the hype – a flaky, creamy dream! Their other pastries are equally divine, each a little work of art. Surprisingly, their Cuban 🥪 sandwich was also a standout - savory and satisfying! 👍The vibe inside is bustling and energetic ✨. It can get a little crowded, but the staff are friendly and efficient. Accessibility-wise ♿, it's located in a pretty walkable area except near where the pastry case is. They do have decent patio and indoor seating with 🚻. Just be prepared for a potential queue – it's a testament to how delicious everything is! 😋
May 11 · Jordan BurlesonIt started with butterflies as we pulled up to the bakery. We walked in and were warmly welcomed. I have wanted to visit for years so choosing the right pastries felt challenging, but we were guided and given suggestions. I decided on 6 pastries, some breakfast, coffee and some packaged treats for gifts. We sat down in the garden and ate breakfast. It felt magical and the perfect way to end our trip to NYC. Everyone was so kind. As for the pastries, I don't know if I have the words. My eyes got wider with every bite and I know this food memory will last forever.
April 20 · Ashleigh FernandesLet me start by saying that I'm French so I'm fairly picky when it comes to bakeries. I tried the raspberry pistachio tart and cannelé de Bordeaux. The cannelé was delicious, both in terms of taste and texture, very authentic. The raspberry tart was also really good and not overly sweet, the sweetness came mainly from the raspberries which balanced the creaminess of the pistachio ganache. There is a covered garden in the back with plenty of sitting. I came here on a (rainy) Saturday afternoon and I didn't have to wait to find a seat. Bathroom is also available.I will definitely come back to try other desserts and get some more cannelés!
April 26 · Sonia GallegoTHE BEST BAKERY IN NYC. Locals and tourists flock here, and this place is worth the hype. Price reflects quality, and the cronut is a must, especially if you like the month's featured flavor. There is open seating in the back, friendly staff. There wasn't a wait on a spring Monday morning. Just plan ahead if you're visiting the weekends for a long wait. Enjoy!
