Good Lazy Donuts 'n' Stuff Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For residents of the Washington state’s Eastside, particularly in the Issaquah area, Good Lazy Donuts 'n' Stuff has rapidly cemented its reputation as a must-visit destination for those seeking an elevated pastry experience. This establishment is not your average doughnut shop; it operates as a specialized, artisanal Bakery focused on creating extraordinarily light, fluffy, and flavor-forward brioche doughnuts.
What sets Good Lazy apart and draws crowds from across the region is its unique approach: they specialize in filled donuts featuring house-made, delicately prepared fillings. Furthermore, their menu operates on a distinct cycle, with flavors changing every two weeks. This commitment to an ever-evolving selection keeps patrons "obsessed" and ensures there is always a new, exciting reason to stop by.
The focus at Good Lazy Donuts is clearly on quality over quantity and a balanced sweetness. Their brioche dough is slow yeast-risen over two to three days to achieve its signature soft, airy texture. This labor of love complements their unique fillings, which range from classic comforting tastes like Nutella and Whipped Peanut Butter to more adventurous, unique flavors such as Black Sesame, Pandan Coconut, or even savory creations like Gochujang Cheddar. While the unique quality and labor-intensive process mean the products are sometimes considered "a bit pricy," customers overwhelmingly agree the donuts are worth the price for the exceptional taste and freshness. It’s a true hidden gem in the Issaquah Highlands, a perfect spot for a quick visit or a planned weekend treat.

Features / Highlights
The reasons behind the significant local buzz for Good Lazy Donuts are rooted in several standout features—primarily product quality, unique flavors, and transparency.
- Artisanal Brioche Dough: The base of every donut is a slow yeast-risen brioche dough, prepared over two to three days, which yields an exceptionally fluffy, light, and sweet texture that is rarely matched by mass-produced donuts. This focus on the "chew" and structure is a core principle of the bakery.
- Bi-Weekly Rotating Flavor Cycles: The commitment to changing the menu every two weeks is a major draw. This encourages repeat visits and allows them to feature a massive variety of unique creations. Past and current favorites include:
- Rich & Creamy: Nutella, Matcha Mascarpone, Whipped Ube, Chai Custard.
- Fruity & Fresh: Strawberry Crunch, Strawberries & Cream (using whipped cream to keep it light), Pandan Coconut, Roasted Pear.
- Savory & Unexpected: Gochujang Cheddar (with a "little kick"), Smoked Salmon Everything, Roasted Elote.
- "Not-Too-Sweet" Philosophy: The bakery prides itself on making sweet treats where sugar is a "supporting actor," focusing on a reserved sweetness that highlights the natural, distinct flavor of the fillings, a detail often praised by customers who find typical donuts overly sugary.
- Innovative Drink Menu: Beyond standard coffee, their drink offerings are designed to complement their pastries with unique flavors, such as the Earl Grey Matcha Latte and the earthy Azuki (Red Bean) Latte, catering to more adventurous and sophisticated tastes.
- Customer-Focused Transparency: The live doughnut count on their website is an exceptional feature, demonstrating a commitment to customer service and managing expectations, particularly when they are known to sell out quickly.

What is Worth Choosing
Choosing Good Lazy Donuts 'n' Stuff in Issaquah is a choice for an elevated, artisan dessert experience that stands well above the standard bakery fare in Washington. What makes this place truly worth the trip—even with the potential for a line—is the focus on flavor and texture innovation.
The brioche dough is the foundation, praised by reviewers as "fluffy, light, and sweet." This quality allows their fillings, which are made from scratch with "no custard powders or premade jelly," to truly shine. Customers seeking rich, decadent flavors should not miss the favorites like Nutella or the intense nutty flavor of Whipped Peanut Butter. For those who prefer something lighter, the fruit and cream options, which utilize whipped cream instead of heavy custards, are described as perfectly "light and not too sweet."
Moreover, the rotating flavor cycle is the compelling feature that transforms a simple visit into a rewarding hunt for the next great creation. It turns the bakery into a destination, with customers eagerly anticipating the next batch of unique combinations. Paired with the practical convenience of ample free parking and the transparency of their live donut count tracker, Good Lazy Donuts 'n' Stuff offers an exciting, high-quality, and reliable sweet indulgence, making it one of the premier bakeries on the Eastside for brioche and coffee lovers.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My wife and I are obsessed with Good Lazy and we try to stop by at least once for every donut rotation. The donuts are worth the price especially if you love filled donuts. There’s always at least one or two flavors we love in each rotation (our current favorites being Nutella and Strawberry Crunch). The staff are nice and do their best to get the line moving when it’s busy. They might be a bit pricy but if you like donuts you should at least give this spot a try!
August 30 · Isaiah LagerquistI’ve been twice for two different flavor cycles and both times had some great flavors to try. My favorites were the strawberries and cream, strawberry crunch, whipped peanut butter and black sesame. I loved that the strawberry ones just had whipped cream to keep it light and not too sweet. The peanut butter had a strong nutty flavor that reminded me of Reese’s. I was really surprised by how forward the peanut butter flavor was and it was sooo good!! I would say the black sesame didn’t truly taste as expected but I liked the creaminess of it. The brioche is fluffy, light, and sweet, I would consider ordering some of the unfilled donuts too.I went during the week day and luckily there weren’t lines or a wait time. It’s also great they have an estimated live count of how many donuts they have on their website!!
July 24 · Tran LeGood Lazy Donuts is a well-known donut shop, so I had high expectations for my first visit.I stood in line to buy the donuts and enjoyed them, but one of the donuts had no filling at all. :(I only discovered this after the shop was closed on Sunday, and since there was no way to contact customer service through their website, I was unable to report the issue directly.I expect you to be more thorough with quality control to prevent such basic mistakes from happening again. While the donuts tasted decent, considering the price per piece is not cheap, this experience was clearly disappointing.
August 01 · garlic 1These are easily the best brioche filled donuts I’ve ever had. The donuts are light and not greasy, and the filling flavors are unique and delicious. There are options of flavors with custard filling, whipped cream, cream cheese, etc. depending on that week’s menu. The staff and owners are really friendly and always willing to answer any questions. The scones and cookies aren’t to be missed either! Their Gochujang cheddar biscuit is delectable.
August 01 · Sara CharhonFood - The donuts are good. They change the flavors every 2 weeks (updated on their website) and even though we wanted to try the Nutella and Butterscotch ones, we just missed that window. The ones that we tasted were the Creme Brulee (ok), Dubai chocolate (good), Milo Chocolate (ok), and Apple Cider (good).Wait time was hardly 10-15 mins at the opening on a Saturday. But people do lineup early.Price - expensive, the specialty ones are $5-$6 each, the classic one is $3.75.Service - only offers take out but the staff were very nice. They didn't ask for tips as well which was still a surprise.Pets are not allowed in the store and they are only open 4 days a week.Overall - I would say try them if you are in the area.
