Features / Highlights
For a discerning Washington customer, La Parisienne French Bakery boasts several unique and compelling features that set it apart from typical bakeries or cafes in the area.
- Authentic French Experience: The highest praise from customers is the feeling of being transported to Paris. This authenticity is reflected in the traditional French menu names and the quality of the classic preparations, such as the flaky, buttery texture of the pastries.
- Exquisite, Balanced Coffee: A major highlight is the coffee quality. One passionate reviewer called the cappuccino "perfection," noting its flavorful and perfectly balanced profile, a welcome relief from the often overly sweet coffee found in many American establishments.
- Perfectly Executed Pastries: Reviewers consistently praise the balance of textures in the pastries—the "balance of crunch and fluff and fruits"—demonstrating superior technical skill in baking. The pastries are noted to be best eaten fresh in the bakery, emphasizing their delicate, high-quality nature.
- Friendly and Helpful Service: Despite the business's high volume (often having a line out the door), the staff is recognized for being "so very friendly and helpful," ensuring a great customer experience even in a busy downtown environment.
- Full Meal Service: The bakery's offering goes well beyond sweets, providing a complete range of light French cuisine, from hearty quiches and soups (including classic French Onion $5.50) to fresh salads and charcuterie boards, making it a viable destination for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.
- Amenities and Convenience: The provision of Wi-Fi, a clean Restroom, and various payment options including NFC mobile payments enhances the convenience for the busy downtown clientele.

What is Worth Choosing
For Washingtonians seeking the pinnacle of authentic French baked goods and café culture, La Parisienne French Bakery is unequivocally the place to choose. It is worth choosing for three primary reasons: uncompromising authenticity, superb beverage quality, and full dining versatility.
First, the authenticity is not just a claim—it’s a customer-verified experience. For those who understand or appreciate the nuances of French baking, the quality of the viennoiseries—the delicate crispness of the croissant, the richness of the pain au chocolat—is unmatched locally. It genuinely delivers that sought-after feeling of being in Paris, making it an ideal venue for bringing "all traveling friends and family" to impress them with a taste of Europe.
Second, the quality of the coffee is a crucial deciding factor. In a coffee-rich city like Seattle, for a bakery to offer what a discerning customer calls "some of the best coffee I’ve had in the states" is a powerful testament to their commitment to balance and flavor. The exquisite cappuccino is a highlight that pairs perfectly with the delicate pastries.
Finally, the bakery’s versatility as a full-service breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot elevates it beyond a simple pastry shop. The lunch combos, fresh sandwiches, and savory quiches mean you can easily make La Parisienne your regular go-to for a complete, high-quality meal. The option to enjoy a charcuterie board with friends or grab a healthy Salade au Poulet provides a broad utility, all within an environment that maintains the high standards of French cuisine.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Feels like we’re in Paris! The lady who helped us was so very friendly and helpful. We had a great experience and enjoyed our food so very much! The granola was unique, unlike anything I’d ever had with some small pieces of meringue in it. Very delicious! The eggs were super fresh.
September 24 · Meg EI lived a long while in NY, and there are a few bakeries that rival what I had out there. I believe the naysayers who have negative reviews just don’t have very good taste.I think the locals have a warped sense of what good coffee really is. Also, if you’re going to dine in, expect it to be crowded because it’s a bakery that is serving lots of food to take out—this is very common for bakeries! Now— onto the food and my perspective of service! This is hands-down, some of the best coffee I’ve had in the states. I don’t know what they’re doing, but it is just exquisite. That cappuccino was perfection. I cannot tell you how many times I get cappuccinos that are so darn sweet, coffee in general everywhere is too sweet. I could taste the flavor and it was so perfectly balanced. I love all the pastries. I’ve had so far— and I get different ones almost every time I go. The balance of crunch and fluff and fruits, it is just so damn good. Those little almond crunch cookies, whatever they are called, in cappuccino is simply amazing.Service is very straightforward to the point, which honestly felt just fine to me, like I said New York. They normally have a line out the door and need to keep things moving.I personally like to dine in because these are best eaten fresh in the bakery. These types of pastries do not keep well into the evening, so enjoy them fresh! I tried to bring all traveling friends and family.
August 18 · Athena CookTried La Parisienne French Bakery and had a pretty good experience overall! We ordered both the chocolate mocha and the regular mocha—both were excellent, rich, and perfectly balanced. Their pastries were delicious too, with a beautifully crisp crust that stood out. The vibe of the place is relaxed and cool, making it a great spot to hang out for a while. They also have an extensive variety of food options for a bakery, which was impressive. We did take a tiramisu to go, but unfortunately, it had gone bad by the time we got home, which was disappointing. That aside, it was a good visit, and I’d be open to trying it again.
May 06 · WanderlustThis storefront bakery is quite pleasant when you first walk in. The fresh smell of a bakery first hits the senses and your mouth begins to water. I was the only person in line at the counter just looking over what I wanted to order while the girl behind the counter finished helping the person in front of me. Then just as she finished, another person walked in behind me whom I guess she knew because she welcomed him very friendly. He then told her what he wanted and she quickly got it for him without even saying anything to me. This of course took me aback because first off he knew I was before him, and second she knew I was before him. Oh well, moving on. I got my order and all the bakes looked delicious. I ordered multiple things to give it a fair chance at taste. I'll start with the creme patissiere, it was flavorless. I didn't taste it at all in the pain au raisin, which I'm sure is supposed to be there. The hazelnut pastry didn't have much hazelnut flavor. And lastly the macarons almost broke my tooth biting into one of them, they're supposed to be soft and chewy. On a good note, the almond pastry was delicious. If it weren't for the fact that this place is really overpriced then I would go back for this one thing. The plain croissant was also good, but I hope it would be for a French bakery. Anyhow, I hope your experience is better than mine.
July 18 · Cassia GorgazziA bit loud for me, but the food was solid, and the coffee was pretty ok. My latte was a little bitter, but if you’re not a coffee snob like I apparently am, it’s great! Their deserts looked particularly delicious! The stag was very kind as well.
