My Heavenly Sweets Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For residents and visitors in North Carolina, especially those near the Fayetteville area, discovering a truly authentic and unique culinary destination can be a delightful experience. My Heavenly Sweets, located at 5224 Bragg Blvd, is precisely that—a rare gem that beautifully blends the art of a professional bakery with the rich, savory traditions of a Puerto Rican restaurant. This establishment is much more than your average sweet spot; it's a testament to passionate, local ownership, proudly identifying as a Latino-owned, veteran-owned, and women-owned business serving the Fayetteville community.
Initially gaining recognition for its superb baked goods, the business has expanded its offerings to provide a full, immersive dining experience. The "Sweets" portion of the name is well-earned, with the bakery crafting exquisite Caribbean-flared desserts like the famous Tres Leches cake (available in original, coconut, and chocolate) and an array of luscious Flans (including cheese, guava, and coffee). However, the "Heavenly" aspect extends to a full menu of authentic Puerto Rican fare. Patrons can indulge in savory, hearty classics such as the complex Mofongo—a dish of fried mashed plantains served with various meats like Churrasco (Skirt Steak) or Pollo al Ajillo (Chicken with Garlic Sauce)—alongside renowned sandwiches like the Cuban and the famous Tripleta.
While some customers have noted that the business, in its past iterations or as it transitions, may involve outdoor dining or a wait for its fresh, made-to-order dishes, the consistent feedback highlights the food’s deliciousness and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. This establishment provides a quick yet immensely flavorful dining option, especially for breakfast, and offers a true cultural taste of Puerto Rico right in the heart of North Carolina.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The wait was a bit long and we didn’t know we’d be eating outside, but the food was delicious! And we kinda liked the outdoor atmosphere. It’s a food truck but they’re working on an actual restaurant. Looks like it will be nice!
September 20 · Amy ArmstrongOrdered via Doordash. Pernil sandwich and Cuban sandwich. The pork tasted like it barely had any seasoning on it. I asked for all toppings to be removed except the mayo salt and pepper. My request was ignored and the toppings couldn't help either sandwich. I got a side of tostones asked for them to be salted and not fulfilled. They were soggy .... The best part was the grape soda.
May 06 · Jon JacobsI was driving by Bragg Blvd, and I was on my way to subway. I saw this small business and decided to try their Cuban Torta/Sandwich. I was never greeted when arriving to place an order. Hostess told me they “don’t have a torta Cubana” I had to explain it’s a Cuban sandwich. I should have left there but I was very hungry. Another lady came to assist, didn’t receive a friendly welcome. Also, was told they couldn’t print the receipts due to the machine not working. Never gave me the water bottle I ordered. I had come back and ask for it. And when I came to ask for the water bottle I had ordered , I had to stand around and wait bc there was no one at the ordering station. The sandwich meat was so dry and plain. Not worth the price at all. My daughter has to use the restroom , portal potty was locked. Please save yourself trip and your money. Go somewhere else
March 26 · Casey RamosWent with family and partner for the first time, looking for some homemade goods and meals from Puerto Rico. Walking in already sets the ambience, taking you straight there! The smell of fresh bread hits you soon as you walk into the door and it is a very well kept building with beautiful painted walls and designs. The employees and servers were all super amazing, hardworking, and had a contagious energy 🫶🏽 . They were ready to serve and answer any questions we had.Although food (mofongo typically, sandwiches were quickly served) took a while to come out, the service and quality of the food made up for the delay. Bathrooms are super clean and so was service area. Most of all, food and drinks were 10/10!! Difficult to find something like this around where I’m from so I’m definitely going to come back to get my fresh pan sobao and mofongo with salsa criolla! Glad I was able to experience my culture some away from home🫶🏽Pictures: the PR chair, mofongo w/ chicken in salsa criolla, ham cheese w/ egg sandwich on pan sobao, front counter, dining area, freshly squeezed Orange juice, entry way , bakery
July 14 · anier guachinangaGreat place with amazing food and treats! The owner & employees are friendly, respectful and provide a people friendly environment. We have been going there since they opened their old location. Recently, we visited their temporary food truck for breakfast. It was a good as always. Looking forward to enjoying the new building once they open. 100% recommended.
