★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love this place! We tried the cheese and prosciutto sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious!!!perfectly balanced and full of flavor. We’ve had both breakfast and lunch here, and everything has been consistently amazing. The pastries are super creative and the vibe is always welcoming. The line can get long, but it moves fairly quickly and it’s totally worth it. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city now!
June 08 · Steffanie GodoyThe hype surrounding this place might ruin your experience about this bakery. People running to join the line before the store opened was a bit extra and odd as well. Anywho, be prepared to wait as there will be a line at this bakery. I arrived 10 mins before it opened on a Sunday morning and waited about 25 mins before I was able to place an order. The BEC focaccia was delicious, but very heavy. The pistachio croissant was tasty and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I think this bakery is a bit overhyped. The pastries look very appetizing, but the flavors seem a bit flat. I would like to try other pastries to confirm my feelings but most likely won't. The inside of the bakery is rather small and the customer line winds around a small island. The bakery has a few outdoor seating available for customer use.
April 29 · Felicity ZiriBEST bakery I’ve ever been to! Worth the hype, and the wait is not too bad if you get there early. If the line is wrapped well around the block it could take an hour. The sandwiches are great, and the focaccia they make is incredible. The turkey pesto sandwich is filled with pine nuts, refreshing kale, and perfect pesto— its is a must-try.The pastries are fantastic, for me croissants are my favorite and the rhubarb croissant was the best! It had a light custard filling, almost like an egg tart, and fresh tart rhubarb layered on flaky pastry.Nice staff, cute interior- overall I think its deserving of the No. 1 nyc bakery title
April 20 · Jun SimonsI've been waiting to go to this place for more than 3 months but couldn't make it until this morning, be there at 10am, there was no line outside, just 5 minutes wait time. The staff was very nice, smile, helpful and professional. I bought many things and would say the scallion cream cheese focaccia was my favorite, also my friend got the bacon one which also was great taste. I would recommend the peach croissant and earl gray morning bun. I wish I could work there for bakery somehow LOL !!
July 21 · Tarah NiweeThis place always has a line—and I finally understand why, though I wouldn’t say it fully lives up to the hype (for me).The tofu sandwich was excellent: cold, refreshing, and packed with flavor. The sweet and spicy sauce, plus the creamy tofu and crunchy slaw, made it perfect for a hot day. I’d go back for this alone. The triple chocolate croissant, however, didn’t impress. Not as crispy or layered as what you’d get at Nick + Sons, though it was rich and buttery.Surprisingly, the iced peach tea had no added sugar—light, clean, and a great pairing with the sandwich. You can’t count on specific items being in stock, so what you get depends on timing and luck. Overall: worth trying, especially if you’re curious about the sandwich—but I wouldn’t wait in a long line for the pastries.
