Poor attitude from staff maybe she didn’t hear me, but I ordered a specific bagel when I brought it back and just asked for a replacement. She argued that I said I had ordered a whole wheat bagel not a whole wheat Everything bagel. I didn’t think it was a big deal. I apologized and asked for a replacement which I was happy to pay for. My replacement was fully burned on purpose. There’s no reason to be nasty over a silly bagel go have a bad day somewhere else and not with your customers. Nasty staff.

This place has whole wheat everything bagels, which I love! That said, I was disappointed by two things. I asked for the dirty chai they had on their menu board and was told they did not have it. I had already ordered the “New Yorker” sandwich bagel, which includes tomato, lox, red onion, and capers. When I got my sandwich, I sat outside, opened it up and saw that there were neither onions nor capers on it.I went back inside and asked for them to be added, and was met by a stony faced look behind the counter. I saw the woman reach for the red onions and heard her wrap the bagel up again as she handed it back to me. I asked her does it have both onions and the capers now ? She nodded. Guess what: no capers. Disappointing- they just need to be upfront. Update their menu board or in conversation, say what they do or don’t have.

My boyfriend ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel on Sunday March 9th at around 10am at the Fairfield location.After we got home to eat the bagel, there was a long gray hair in the bagel. I threw it away. I called Village Bagels at Fairfield location to voice my concern, a Spanish speaking man picked up, listened to my concern, and hung up. I called back and no one answered. All I was trying to say was for the person cooking the food to wear a hat or hair net.Things like this happen but I am very disappointed in the customer service.I hope when or IF I come back, the person cooking is wearing a HAT or a HAIR NET.

Just to be clear I come here all the time and have spent hundreds of dollars here. This is a rather normal occurrence.Forgot to put a hashbrown which they made sure to charge me for. The cook came up and said make sure to charge the hashbrown, didn’t put it in the sandwich. Didn’t double toast as I asked.Below you will see they didn’t put the hashbrown and looks untoasted. Il be coming in later to ask for a free bagel.UPDATE:I came in for a free bagel like you said you would offer in reply to the review and was yelled at. No free bagel. Absurd. If I could post another 1 star review based on the experience I just had, I would. I’m going to try my best to get in contact with the owner because this really just ruined my day.I feel unwelcome here.
