Yeastie Boys Bagels Introduce
Are you searching for a genuinely satisfying bagel experience in Los Angeles? Look no further than Yeastie Boys Bagels, an establishment that has carved out a unique and beloved niche in Southern California's competitive food scene. Starting as a celebrated food truck operation, Yeastie Boys has become synonymous with New York-Jewish style bagels, offering a delectable hybrid of East Coast tradition and West Coast culinary creativity. This is more than just a bagel shop; it's a cultural phenomenon built around plump, chewy, hand-rolled bagels and over-the-top, generously stuffed specialty sandwiches.
For California residents, finding a truly authentic and high-quality bagel can sometimes feel like a quest, but Yeastie Boys consistently delivers. Their approach focuses on creating a great daily eat—a quick, classic experience with a refined, contemporary twist. The founder, Evan Fox, sought to bring the quality and vibe of a New York bodega classic to Los Angeles, and through dedication and hiring talented bakers, he has succeeded in crafting a bagel that features the plump shape, nice chew, and subtle sweetness associated with the New York style. If you’re in Los Angeles and need a substantial, flavorful start to your day, Yeastie Boys Bagels should be at the top of your list.
The brand is known for its distinctive personality, including menu items with fun names inspired by pop culture, and a general attitude that is slightly audacious yet completely welcoming. This unique blend of traditional product and modern presentation has given Yeastie Boys a loyal, almost cult-like following across Los Angeles. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite before work or planning a weekend brunch, this spot offers an unforgettable breakfast experience that celebrates the humble, yet mighty, bagel. The quality of ingredients, from the house-made schmears to the pit-smoked pastrami, ensures that every sandwich is a heavy, satisfying meal worth seeking out.

What is Worth Choosing
For a local Los Angeles customer or a visitor seeking the 'must-try' experience, Yeastie Boys Bagels is truly worth choosing for several compelling reasons, all rooted in quality, flavor, and its energetic atmosphere. The simple truth is that Yeastie Boys has succeeded in filling a noticeable void for high-quality, New York-style bagels in the California market, making it a critical choice for anyone who values a great chew and a plump, authentic bagel base.
The specialty sandwiches are the heart of the menu and are highly recommended. The undisputed champion is often cited as The Lox Deluxe. As a true fan favorite, this sandwich is the gold standard for a reason. Customers rave about the generous portion of smoked salmon and the abundance of house-made scallion schmear, perfectly complemented by the capers, tomato, and red onion on a sesame bagel. If you are a fan of a classic yet expertly executed lox experience, this is the order for you.
For those who prefer a hearty, savory breakfast or brunch sandwich, two options stand out. The Reubenstein offers a unique twist on the deli classic, featuring custom pit-smoked pastrami, melted Swiss, kraut, and Russian dressing piled high on an everything bagel, combining a breakfast format with robust, savory deli flavors. Another excellent choice is Game Over, an indulgent breakfast bite with scrambled egg, bacon, tomato, and a kick from the house-made cheddar jalapeño schmear on a cheddar bagel—it's flavor-packed and immensely satisfying.
A final, crucial point is the customization and add-ons. The pro tip of adding a Hashbrown ($4.00) to any sandwich is widely echoed among satisfied customers. This addition provides a desirable crisp texture that elevates the entire sandwich, making an already substantial meal truly unforgettable. For vegan or vegetarian diners, The Mishka is an absolute winner, featuring a flavorful vegan roasted bell pepper spread that provides a creamy, delicious sandwich experience without compromising on the signature Yeastie Boys flavor and volume. The creative schmears, generous portions, and high-quality ingredients solidify Yeastie Boys Bagels as a premier, SEO-friendly choice for breakfast and brunch in the Los Angeles area.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What a wonderful surprise to find the Yeastie Boys truck parked in front of my favorite Highland Park haunts this morning. Yes, the line for this soon-to-be-permanent non-popup was long, but it was well-worth the wait to get an absolutely delicious Lox Deluxe — very generous inclusions of cream cheese and salmon and Ah! Capers. I loved it and can't recommend this outfit enough.
November 11 · Jim DunningThese bagels aren’t cheap by any means but they ARE good. Just wild paying nearly $20 for a bagel with all the works lolPro tip: it’s worth adding a hash brown (ie make it heavy lol) and avocado to whatever you get. Like actuallyBe prepared to wait in line!
November 11 · Ashish AggarwalThis food truck makes the BEST breakfast bagel sandwiches. Full stop. We arrived early and there was no line. The cafe down the street had outdoor seating we used to eat our delicious food. The sandwhiches are made fresh and very hot and hearty.
July 14 · Jackson LonganIf you're in Los Angeles and crave a New York Bagel there's a local favorite that will fulfill your need. A nothing fancy food truck that's easy to spot on those LA streets, Yeastie Boys is the way to go. My personal favorite is the Lox Deluxe add sprouts. But there are meatier options if that's your thang! When in town I head to the Los Feliz or Silverlake locations, but Yeastie Boys can be found elsewhere, just go to their website. With just one bite you'll be transported from west coast to east coast...enjoy!
October 25 · Yevette BrownThis was the first time we tried Yeastie Boys. The wait to order and receive our food took about 20 minutes which was a bit longer than I would have liked. I was not super annoyed but it may not be the best place if you're in a rush. My breakfast bagel was insane though definitely made it worth waiting for. We both added the hash brown on top and it was incredible. I want to come back again soon to check out some of the other options.
