The founders, Angie and Bill Muir, envisioned a place that combined the best of European aesthetics and offerings—fresh baked bread, seasonal prepared foods, and a cozy spot for a coffee or wine—right here in Williamson County. The mission centers on sourcing the best ingredients, purchasing local and seasonal products wherever possible, and ensuring that every purchase, whether it’s a freshly baked loaf of bread or a quick, high-quality lunch, is an uplifting experience. This commitment to quality and community makes the Franklin Bakehouse a true gem in the Middle Tennessee food scene.
This Franklin mainstay is proud to identify as both Veteran-Owned and Women-Owned, adding a layer of dedication and local pride to its business operations. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The food is delicious:English muffin w sausage egg and cheeseBagel sandwich w cheese and bacon... the caveat is that you have to pay for every piece of the sandwich. They did come w a fruit cup. But with the prices in the economy, I'm not mad, the menu board was just deceiving.Update:Went to the website, and the breakfast sandwich I ordered is an option listed at $8.99. With the way I ordered (and had to pay each piece), my sandwich cost $9.46. (Not a big difference. Just super surprising when I looked at my total.Great food, though. The day old pastries (5 pieces for $7.99 was the real winner. The vanilla and oreo parfait was my partner's favorite!I do have to say, the iced vanilla latte, was pretty perfect 😀

June 21 · Annedrea MorrealeLove this place so much!My favorite thing here is their amazing cinnamon roll. I’ve enjoyed cinnamon rolls all over the country, and certainly all over Tennessee, but I have to say that the Franklin Bakehouse has the best. Anywhere. A textual description won’t do them justice…just go and get yourself one (or a few)!My daughter is a big fan of their chocolate croissants, baguette bread and their sandwiches! They have so many great menu items for breakfast and lunch. Coffee is excellent.Staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very cozy and inviting!
November 29 · D DWe just found the Bakehouse!!! Or should I say we have passed on the Bakehouse many times not realizing how much we were missing!!!We have been twice in 3 days! The focaccia bread Italian sandwich was fantastic. The bread was so good. We also have tried the lemon orzo chicken soup, that was great. The pasta salad was very good also. So far we have enjoyed the items we have tried. Now we have to go back and try the pastry! Staff has been delightful both times.
August 03 · D KellyWe were so excited to try this place! We got a couple of breakfast sandwiches that were delicious as were the 2 lattes. We treated ourselves to a cinnamon roll except I would not actually consider it a treat. It had so much icing on it you could barely taste the cinnamon. We will definitely opt for a different treat next time.
