Mirabelle by Orphée Introduce
**Introduction / Overview: A True Parisian Gem Lands in Pioneer Square**
For Washington locals seeking an authentic slice of France without the international travel, Mirabelle by Orphée stands as a delightful, genuine destination. Located in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square, this establishment transcends the simple definition of a "bakery." It is a Parisian Café, Pâtisserie, Boulangerie, and Épicerie Fine all rolled into one charming, light-filled space.
Mirabelle by Orphée is the passion project of Paris-born chef and owner Orphée Fouano, whose culinary pedigree includes rigorous training at Médéric Culinary School in Paris and experience in prestigious, Michelin-starred kitchens like Palace Plaza Athénée under the guidance of world-renowned Chef Alain Ducasse. This foundational commitment to authenticity, elegance, and innovation is palpable in every product, from the masterfully laminated croissants to the complex, delicate pâtisseries.
The concept is simple but flawlessly executed: bring the daily joy and sophisticated craftsmanship of a Parisian neighborhood café to the heart of Seattle. Unlike many larger chains, Mirabelle by Orphée operates as a dedicated **Small business**, focusing on quality over volume, with a clear emphasis on using premium, often imported French ingredients, such as "Label rouge" flour for their baguettes and fine French butter for their viennoiserie. Since opening in a beautifully restored space in the historic "Lowman & Hanford" Building, it has quickly earned a reputation among Seattleites as a must-visit spot for an elevated coffee, breakfast, or lunch experience. The inviting and cozy atmosphere has quickly made it a beloved addition to the Pioneer Square neighborhood.

Firstly, you are choosing unparalleled **Authenticity and Craftsmanship**. Finally, you are choosing a **Welcoming Community Hub**. Despite being a small, sometimes busy space, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff is noted for being "very nice," attentive, and welcoming. Its strong commitment to inclusivity (LGBTQ+ friendly, Transgender safespace) makes it a truly comfortable and modern space where all Seattleites can enjoy a taste of Paris. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I found this cafe on tik tok last week. Each week my bestie and I meet-up for coffee chats and decided to try this place. Firstly it's located in Pioneer square, parking may get hard but going early you'll definitely get a spot. We went on a week day around 10am, and it wasn't too busy and we immediately got a spot by the window (which we think is the best spot). Loved the view and atmosphere.Overall the space is so cute and simple, on the smaller ended but there's outside seating. The service was great, the staff is very nice. Once you walk in, you grab a menu and there's a person by the pastries to take your order and then you get to sit.The food was good! Can't say to much since we only got a chocolate croissant and the mr. breakfast. However the pastry was delicious and Mr. Breakfast was good, but I wished they added two eggs. We each got the hot cocoa, which was great for my friend since she likes Milk Chocolate . I like dark chocolate more, and I hope they have that option in the future. My cappuccino was perfect.Overall great experience and I can't wait to come back to do my work and try their other items. I wish them much success and happy to have them in that area.
August 16 · M CLoved our stop into this quaint coffee shop! Latte was excellent and chocolate croissant was delectable. The cinnamon pastry we had was a bit hard on the outside but still tasted yummy. Lovely interior. Place has been opened six months and we wish them continued success. Place was packed!
September 14 · Amy SteinHands down the best croissant I’ve had in this country. Perfectly baked. The flour and butter have such good flavors. They are light and fluffy and have just enough bite and crunch. Everything we had was amazing. This is some very well made food.
September 08 · MattMirabella by Orphee is such a great find! The food is delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their coffee is just as good, smooth and strong without being bitter. It's the kind of place where everything on the menu feels like a good choice. The vibe inside is super cozy and welcoming, perfect for catching up with a friend or just relaxing with a book. It’s got that calm, tucked-away feel but still feels connected to the city. Also love how easy it is to get to downtown Seattle from here—makes it a perfect stop before a day out. Can’t wait to come back!
August 31 · Felipe Reis FalkWithout question, the best croissant in my life. If you’re looking for a Parisian morning in Seattle, this is it. Beautiful, clean cafe chairs and tables outside this simply stunning patisserie. Everything you eat is a sheer wonder and delight. Orphée is the most thoughtful proprieter, having learned how to make pastries in France. It’s the essence of Paris in one perfect, flaky and delicate bite. I am not exaggerating when I say that first bite of his croissant made me cry. If you’re looking for the best pastries in Seattle, this is it. I will be back.
